Level 3 NVQ Diploma In Occupational Work Supervision
OVERVIEW
- • Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Work Supervision qualification intended for those who supervise others in a relevant construction sector, and provides an opportunity to demonstrate their supervisory acompetence.
- • The awarding organisation for this qualification is ProQual. This qualification is regulated by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) and the Council for the Curriculum Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) Regulation.
- • Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) includes those qualifications regulated by Ofqual and CCEA Regulation
- Course Content
- The course consists of six modules and an on-site assessment visit. Learners can study one module per month and the course shall take approximately nine months to complete. Contents are:
- • Introduction, NVQ induction and health and safety
- • Leadership and management
- • Communication and customer care
- • Environment and sustainability
- • Planning, programming and logistics
- • Resource management (cost, cash and risk)
- • Onsite assessment visit
- • Assessment workshop (if required).
- Mandatory entry requirements
- • You should be working as a site supervisor or assistant site manager in any construction trade occupation, for example
- • Site carpentry
- • Bricklaying
- • Roofing
- • Partition/Cladding
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. Oshtree will carry out an initial assessment of candidate skills and knowledge to identify any gaps and help plan the assessment.

ASSESSMENT METHOD
This qualification is competence-based, candidates must demonstrate the level of competence described in the units.
The qualification will be assessed in line with the Construction Skills Consolidated Assessment Strategy and will be internally assessed by an appropriately experienced and qualified assessor.
Each candidate is required to produce evidence which demonstrates their achievement of all of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit.

The number of units to be completed varies by pathways but all the pathways consist of the following mandatory units in addition to the pathway’s specific units:
- Conforming to general health, safety and welfare in the workplace
- Conforming to productive working practices in the workplace
- Moving, handling and storing resources in the workplace
Candidates who achieve the requirements for qualifications will be awarded:
- A certificate listing all units achieved, and
- A certificate giving the full qualification title: ProQual Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Work Supervision (Construction)
