Process Outline
There is a “mini portfolio” to be completed made up of CPD requirements. If you are already maintaining CPD with IOSH or IIRSM, most of this evidence will already be available.

- Applying professional ethics in practice – reflective account along with evidence to support (applying the IOSH code, for example)

- Sharing personal experiences in professional debate and discussion – reflective account with evidence to support sharing

The Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Health and Safety Practice (RQF) stands as a recognized and fully accredited qualification that can lead to IOSH membership. Completing the entire qualification is a fundamental requirement to initiate the membership process with professional bodies.
Assessment Process
- Guidance from NVQ assessors as you submit evidence.
- Verification of your submitted evidence by our assessor.
- As part of the IQA process, Our Assessor Team will conduct the Professional Discussion through online.
- Final IQA & EQA of your submissions by Shec & ProQual.
- Certificate Delivery: Upon successful verification of your work, we will organize the delivery of your certificate.
Assessors Guidance
- You, as an NVQ candidate, will submit relevant documents aligning with the syllabus criteria.
- Your evidence along with workbook will be uploaded to an Online Portal.
- Our NVQ assessors will guide you, offering feedback until you have amassed all the necessary evidence demonstrating your competency.
Internal Verification
- Our internal verifiers will meticulously review your evidence. Any issues identified will be communicated for correction.
- Once internally verified by the assessor, your documents will be forwarded to IQA Personal for IQA Claim.
Examinations
There are no exams associated with this course. Assessment relies solely on the submission of your work-based evidence and documents.

How do remote exams work?
There is one multiple-choice knowledge exam and one scenario-based assessment. You must pass both to complete the qualification. Both the exam and assessment are undertaken online and remotely invigilated.
This means you can take them, under exam conditions, at home, work or wherever you are. Remote invigilation takes place online using a specialist exam platform and security software. This gives you flexibility on where you take your exams as long as you have a stable internet connection, but they are delivered using robust procedures just like attending a test centre. You are observed and recorded online using cameras and a shared screen.
Once your exams are scheduled, you will be sent clear instructions on how to prepare and test your equipment ahead of the exam. You will need to have a laptop with a built-in camera, microphone and speakers, along with a smart phone to use the exam platform and remote invigilation.
