Learner Policies & Support
Clear guidance, fair processes and appropriate support throughout your learning journey.
OSHTREE is committed to fair access, clear learner information, appropriate support and transparent processes for learning and assessment. The key learner-facing arrangements are summarised below.
Need support? Contact OSHTREE as early as possible if an individual circumstance may affect your learning or assessment. |
Equality, Diversity & Accessibility
OSHTREE aims to provide fair and inclusive access to learning and assessment. Learners will be treated with dignity and respect, and reasonable steps will be taken to remove avoidable barriers.
Reasonable Adjustments
Learners with a disability, health condition or other recognised need should contact OSHTREE as early as possible. Requests are considered individually and may require supporting evidence. External awarding-organisation requirements will apply where relevant.
Special Consideration
If a temporary illness, injury, bereavement or other serious circumstance outside the learner’s control affects an assessment, the learner should inform OSHTREE promptly. Requests will be considered under the applicable programme and assessment requirements.
Assessment Appeals
Learners may appeal an assessment decision where they believe the process or decision was not applied fairly, consistently or correctly. Appeals must follow the applicable OSHTREE route and any relevant awarding-organisation requirements.
Academic Integrity & Malpractice
Learners must submit authentic work and follow all assessment rules. Plagiarism, impersonation, fabrication or falsification of evidence, unauthorised collaboration, inappropriate use of artificial intelligence and other forms of malpractice are not permitted.
Complaints
Concerns about OSHTREE’s services, communication, learning support or other aspects of the learner experience may be raised through the OSHTREE Complaints Procedure. Complaints will be handled fairly, respectfully and as confidentially as reasonably possible.
External Awarding Organisation Requirements
Where a programme leads to a qualification issued or regulated by an external awarding organisation, additional policies, assessment rules or procedures may apply. Learners will be informed of requirements relevant to their qualification.
