OSHTREE’s IOSH Level 6 Diploma Earns BCSP Recognition – A Major Leap for Safety Professionals

At OSHTREE, we are proud to announce a significant milestone that elevates both our learners and our institution on the global safety stage.

The IOSH Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health Leadership & Management, offered by OSHTREE, has officially been recognized by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) as a Qualified Equivalent Program (QEP). This recognition places our diploma among a select group of programs worldwide that meet BCSP’s rigorous standards.

What Does QEP Recognition Mean?

Graduates of our IOSH Level 6 Diploma are now eligible to apply for the Transitional Safety Practitioner (TSP) designation — a prestigious status that opens direct access to the Certified Safety Professional (CSP®) exam without needing to sit for the Associate Safety Professional (ASP®) exam.

This pathway:

  • Saves time and money, removing the need for an extra certification step

  • Demonstrates global readiness, aligning your skills with international best practices

  • Enhances your career credibility and marketability as a safety professional

Why the CSP® Matters

The Certified Safety Professional (CSP®) certification is widely regarded as the gold standard in the field of safety, health, and environmental (SH&E) practice. It is accredited by ANSI under ISO 17024, making it globally recognized and trusted by employers, regulators, and professional bodies.

By earning your TSP and moving toward CSP, you are showcasing your expertise, leadership, and commitment to excellence in occupational safety and health.

When Can You Apply?

The QEP listing for OSHTREE’s program will be published on BCSP’s website starting July 1, 2025. Graduates who earned their diploma within the program’s applicable timeframe can begin applying for the TSP once the listing goes live.

BCSP will also release more details and a formal announcement at that time.

Final Thoughts

This recognition is a testament to OSHTREE’s commitment to delivering world-class safety education. We are excited for what this means for our graduates and their career trajectories.
